We handle all the plumbing from first-fix rough-in through to final fit-off. New showers, baths, toilets, vanities, layout changes - we work alongside your builder or can coordinate the full job ourselves.
We get called for four types of bathroom plumbing work. Yours probably fits one of these.
Complete redesigns and layout changes. Toilet moved to a new wall, bath swapped for a walk-in shower, drainage rerouted under the floor. We handle every plumbing and drainlaying step from rough-in through to final sanitaryware fit-off, with council compliance included.
Same layout, new fittings. New back-to-wall toilet in the same spot, new vanity over the existing waste, modern shower mixer replacing the old set. Quickest turnaround of the four because the drainage stays where it is.
Plumbing and drainlaying for new residential builds and additions. Rough-in to the architect's plan, hot and cold water lines, waste and vent pipework, gas line for the cylinder if applicable. Final fit-off once the tiling and cabinetry are in.
Replacing a leaking toilet, swapping a tapware set, installing a new vanity over the existing waste, fitting a heated towel rail. Smaller jobs that still need a certified plumber for the install and any pipework changes.
Bathroom plumbing happens in stages, not all at once. Here's how a typical renovation runs from our side.
We come to site, walk through your plans, and work out what's possible if drainage is being moved. You get a written quote covering rough-in, services, fit-off, and council compliance. The quoted price holds.
Once strip-out is done and the walls are open, we run the new pipework: hot and cold water, waste and vent, gas if needed. This is the only window to move drainage, so it has to be right before the waterproofer and tiler come in. We pressure-test and cap the lines.
After tiling, waterproofing, and cabinetry are in, we come back to install the sanitaryware - toilet, vanity, tapware, shower mixer, bath, heated towel rail. Final connection, leak test, and council compliance paperwork. Bathroom is functional when we leave.
A bathroom renovation pulls in several trades. Here's where we fit and where you'll need others.
You can bring your own trades or use builders we've worked with before. We coordinate timing on the plumbing side - rough-in before tiling, fit-off after - so the project doesn't stall waiting on us.
Most bathroom renovations get into trouble at strip-out, when something that worked on paper doesn't work in the wall. Here's what's worth thinking through before you commit to a layout - so the plumbing doesn't blow up the project mid-build.
Rain heads, twin showers, and high-flow tapware each have a minimum mains pressure requirement. If your pressure doesn't meet it, the shower won't perform the way it looks in the showroom. We test pressure on the site visit and tell you straight whether your chosen tapware will run properly or whether the mains needs upgrading first.
Toilet waste pipes need a minimum fall across the run from pan to soil stack. If the new toilet position sits too far from the existing soil pipe and the floor cavity doesn't have the height for the gradient, the layout doesn't work as drawn. Worth confirming before the architect locks the floor plan.
If the renovation rips out the cupboard the cylinder lives in, the cylinder needs a new home. Exterior wall mount, roof space, or a continuous flow unit on the wall outside. Decide this with the layout, not after the cupboard is already framed out.
If the existing cylinder is past 10 years old, the renovation is the cheapest moment to switch to gas (continuous flow or storage). Gas pipework runs alongside the new water lines during rough-in instead of being a separate retrofit job that opens walls again later.
Hidden cisterns and recessed shower niches sit inside the wall cavity behind the tiled finish. The frame and rough-in plumbing for them have to be planned and ordered before strip-out, not picked from the showroom mid-renovation. We confirm what's possible based on wall depth on the site visit.
Bathroom renovations often involve drainage rerouting and a gas hot water connection on top of standard plumbing. Most installers hand off drainlaying or gas work to a second tradie. Louis holds all three certifications, so the rough-in, the drainage, and the gas connection are handled by the same team on the same project.
Rough-in before the tiler, fit-off after. We turn up when you need us, leave clean, and don't hold up the next trade. Homeowners running their own renovation get the same coordination - we tell you when we need access and what needs to be ready.
After the site visit, the quote we send is the price. Bathroom renos almost always turn up something unexpected behind a wall; we work through it without changing the bill on you mid-project.

It depends on whether you're keeping the existing layout or moving fixtures, the number of new sanitaryware items going in, and whether the drainage needs rerouting. A like-for-like fit-off in an existing layout is the cheapest path. A full layout change with toilet relocation and a bath-to-shower swap is the most involved. We quote on site after we've seen what's there. Free quotes during business hours.
Plumbing happens in two visits: rough-in before tiling (one to two days depending on the layout), and final fit-off after tiling and cabinetry are in (usually one day). We don't sit on site between the two - we're back when the next stage is ready.
No. We handle plumbing, drainlaying, and gas work. Tiling, waterproofing, building, and electrical are separate trades. You can bring your own or use trades we've worked with before. Either way, we coordinate the plumbing side around the rest of the project.
A like-for-like upgrade where fixtures stay in their existing positions usually doesn't need consent. Moving drainage, relocating the toilet, or changing the layout often does. We'll tell you on the site visit what your specific job needs.
