1. General
- These terms and conditions apply to all plumbing, drainage, and gasfitting services provided by Plumb-D Tec ("the Contractor") to the homeowner, business, or client ("the Customer").
- By accepting a quote, engaging our services, or making any form of payment, the Customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
2. Quotes & Pricing
- All quotes are valid for 7 days from the date issued.
- Quotes are based on the information provided at the time and may be subject to change if additional work is required.
- If a quote or estimate is based on visual information (e.g. photos or verbal descriptions), any site-based changes or unforeseen work upon arrival will incur additional charges.
- Variations or extra work not included in the original quote will be charged separately. The Customer will be informed prior to this work proceeding.
- On weekends and public holidays, labour is charged from the time the plumber departs the office or their home until the job is completed.
3. Payment Terms
- A 50% deposit may be required upfront for larger or pre-quoted jobs.
- Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Overdue payments may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month.
- Accepted payment methods include EFTPOS, bank transfer, and credit/debit card.
- The Customer is liable for all recovery costs, including legal fees and debt collection agency charges, in the event of non-payment.
4. Workmanship & Warranty
- All work is completed by qualified and registered professionals in line with New Zealand industry standards.
Plumb-D Tec offers a 6-month workmanship warranty on all completed work.
The warranty excludes:
- Recurring drain blockages caused by foreign objects or misuse
- Pre-existing issues or damage caused by materials not supplied by Plumb-D Tec
- Damage caused by third parties or external environmental factors
5. Access & Site Requirements
- The Customer must ensure safe, clear, and timely access to the property and all work areas.
- Delays due to access issues, incorrect information, or site conditions outside our control may result in additional charges.
- If unforeseen work arises due to site conditions, the Customer will be notified and charges will apply accordingly.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
- Same-day cancellations may result in a call-out fee being charged.
- Rescheduling due to weather, supplier delays, or unforeseen issues will be communicated promptly.
7. Liability & Insurance
- Plumb-D Tec holds full public liability insurance for all services provided.
- We are not liable for pre-existing issues, concealed services (e.g. hidden pipes or wires), or structural damage unless caused by negligence.
- The Customer is responsible for obtaining necessary consents, permits, or body corporate approvals before work begins.
- While all reasonable care will be taken, Plumb-D Tec is not liable for incidental damage not covered under our public liability policy.
8. Disputes & Complaints
- Any dissatisfaction must be raised with Plumb-D Tec in writing within 7 days of job completion.
- Both parties agree to attempt to resolve any issues amicably before pursuing formal dispute resolution.
- If necessary, matters may be referred to the Disputes Tribunal or another appropriate legal body in New Zealand.

9. Health & Safety
- We comply fully with WorkSafe NZ requirements and expect safe conditions on-site at all times.
- If the work area presents an immediate risk, work will be paused until the hazard is removed or resolved.
